This isn’t just about insulin this is about the entire health care system. For profit healthcare system in this country needs to end and the people need to come first. I know there will be a lot of people that read my comment and immediately think I’m a democratic socialist, no way I’m an American that’s tired of getting screwed in the name of profiteering. I believe in capitalist free enterprise but I also see that for this country to evolve we must return to a place where the people are what matters and we must draw a line at where profiting ends for essential services. So could someone not just start a competing company selling insulin at a normal fair price and put these other companies out of buisness? When I went to Mexico for vacation last year there were bus loads of senior citizens going into the pharmacies and buying their medication because it's so much cheaper so I asked one couple.

Everyone’s saying why save a chicken..why do we think we can decide which animals are worth saving. If this was a dog you’d be all for it when there is not much of a difference at all. All animals feel and have emotion. We raised bantams and our neighbors’ dog busted into their little coop one winter and killed a few. I found one frozen in the snow out by the coop and I thought it was dead but as I picked it up to dispose of it before the kids seen it one of its eyes blinked. It was so frozen it had ice around its feet and my husband swore I was crazy and that it was dead. I took it inside and brought it back from death with a hairdryer.
